Unifloor is growing and has ambitious plans for the upcoming years. As a result, three new colleagues have joined Unifloor in recent months: Mike, Julian & Marcel. We are happy to introduce them to you!
Mike O'Brien
I grew up as a son of a flooring retailer and spent many years working in the family business. In my late twenties, I started work for Westex Carpets, as a representative for the Northwest of England. I enjoyed the role and stayed with them for seven years. I then moved to work with Karndean as a representative, enjoying several years with them. I was approached by BSL Wood Flooring from Canada and also spent a few years with them. I became involved with Unifloor, as an agent, some ten years ago and have worked as a sales agent, helping with the UK Flooring Shows and visiting customers, predominantly in the Northwest of England. Since the beginning of 2020, I have taken on the role of sales support for the UK, along with Julian Lang, together with Marcel Mol, our Export Sales Manager.

Julian Lang
After finishing college, I stumbled across a telesales position in a small independent flooring company based in Swansea, called Ray James Floorcoverings, where I started my journey in the trade. I fulfilled several roles including telesales, warehouse duties, delivery driver, organising van routes and purchasing, to name a few. I thoroughly enjoyed working for the company and I gained a valuable insight into all aspects of flooring, both domestic and commercial. After Ray James was taken over by Furlong Flooring, I embarked upon my sales career as Area Sales Manager for South Wales. After three years, I decided to move to Westex Flooring, which was invaluable in teaching me new products and markets. A further four years down the line, an opportunity arose for me to open my own flooring company. I loved having my own business and learning to manage a completely different sales environment. After 15 successful years, I decided to sell the business and become a Sales Agent. From February 2020, I have taken on the role as sales support for the UK, along with Mike O'Brien, together with Marcel Mol, our Export Sales Manager.

Marcel Mol
I gained a lot of international experience in the sanitary industry at Hansgrohe and Villeroy & Boch, as well as in flooring at two Dutch companies. I love travelling, discovering other cultures and I have a soft spot for England, having spent my whole youth driving around in an MG Midget but whether that's something to be proud of ... ha! I enjoy working with Julian Lang and Mike O'Brien, consulting customers in order for us to deliver the product that most effectively meets their needs! I hope to see you soon!
